About Us

The idea for Rock The Native Vote was born out of a gathering of Native American young adults sponsored by the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2003.

The organization was originally created to encourage voter registration specifically targeted towards Native Americans in Oklahoma.  The organizational concept has grown to include finding ways to empower Native people to become part of the poitical process that effects issues of Natives from health care and education to issues of inclusion.

Rock The Native Vote is an initiative of Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church.
